DMN Blog: Fasano will have role; Rough start for Moore

Fasano will still have a role

Don't assume that the two-tight end packages will go the way of the Tuna.
The Cowboys lined up with two tight ends about as often as they used a fullback during today's practices. Fasano, last year's second-round pick, lined up as an H-back and went in motion several times.
As far as fullbacks go, Lousaka Polite and Oliver Hoyte split reps with the starters. Sixth-round pick Deon Anderson could have an uphill battle to make the squad, although special teams could be his ticket.

Rough start for rookie QB
===========
QB Matt Moore, Ron Jaworski's favorite undrafted rookie free agent, had a rough day.
Moore's first pass in 7-on-7 drills was picked off. He fumbled his first snap in 11-on-11 drills.

He didn't do anything too impressive with any of the few other reps he got. Incumbent third-stringer Matt Baker looked much better, but it's not like the job will be determined by the events on the first day of minicamp.ano get to his receiver. Don't expect much out of the downfield passing game if Tony Romo goes down.
