When asked which young players had impressed him, Wade Phillips talked about defensive ends Chris Canty and Jason Hatcher.
"Those two guys have learned to use their size and movement and learned to disrupt things," Phillips said.
Phillips did not bring up the name of a certain starting defensive end who didn't make plays the last couple years because of Bill Parcells' conservative scheme. Todd Archer points out that Phillips did give Spears some praise on the first day of minicamp.
