The Cowboys make their 1st Cuts

The Cowboys didn't wait until Tuesday to cut five players from the roster and get down to the now-maximum 75. The team announced that CB Quincy Butler, P Jay Ottovegio, WR Daniel Polk from South Oak Cliff and QB Jeff Terrell have been released.
The Cowboys also reached an injury settlement with FB Ronnie Cruz.
The next NFL mandated cut is Saturday, two days after the Cowboys' final preseason game against Minnesota.
